Williamsburg Spinners and Weavers Guild is an educational organization formed in 1986 to foster interest in spinning, weaving and the related fiber arts, and to encourage the exchange of information and inspiration among members and the greater community and region at large. Anyone interested in spinning, weaving, knitting, felting, etc. is welcome to join. Our members are located primarily in the Williamsburg, Virginia area, and on the Middle and Northern Necks.

We usually meet monthly at 10:00 a.m on the third Monday. Meetings are normally held in the James City County Recreation Center, 5301 Longhill Road, Williamsburg VA. Please see the Meetings page for meeting topics. Everyone is invited to join us!

During the year, we hold workshops from time to time. Photos from these and other events are shown in the Photo Gallery.

At monthly meetings, members and visitors are encouraged to participate in Show-and-Tell. Here are photos of such an event.

For many years, WSWG was invited to display fiber techniques at the MidAtlantic Quilt Festival in Hampton, VA--the former Williamsburg Quilt Show. Here are photos from the WSWG booth

Our NEW web page--"Learn to Spin & Weave"--has expanded to include a range of fiber arts.

http://www.pikespeakweavers.org has Cathy Sterling's Tree piece shown quite predominately along with some other really wonderful work.

In February 2013, WSWG appeared at the MidAtlantic Quilt Festival, demonstrating weaving and spinning.
